Create your own fundraising page for The Purple Challenge!
The Purple Challenge is a virtual, peer-to-peer fundraising campaign that begins on October 1 and lasts the entire month of October. Individuals and teams create personal fundraising pages to collect donations from their friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. 100% of the funds raised during The Purple Challenge go to HopeWorks’ comprehensive intervention services, outreach and prevention education for survivors and our community.
What is a peer-to-peer fundraiser?
Also called social or P2P fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising is when individual supporters create a personal campaign and collect donations on behalf of a larger cause or organization. Similar to crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraisers are typically shared on social media and promoted to friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors.
How do I create my own fundraising page?
1. Use the form below to choose the type of page you want to create.
Page Types:
- Individual - Fundraise as an individual, not part of a team.
- Create Team - Create a new fundraising team. The team captain signs up here first; other teammates can join using the Join Team option after the team has already been set up.
- Join Team - Join an existing team. Choose your desired team from the drop-down menu. The team captain must register first (see above) in order for the team name to appear in the menu.
2. Fill out your contact information. Set your personal/team fundraising goal, and give your page a title and description. Use the Fundraising Page Description box below to share your reasons for supporting HopeWorks and why this cause is important to you! You can add to or change this information at any point during the campaign.
3. Click next. You now have the option to add a photo to your fundraising page. This step is optional, but recommended to make your page more appealing! You can add an image at any point during the campaign.
4. Click next again to submit your registration! You will receive an email from info@hopeworksofhc.org asking you to click a link and confirm your email address (check your spam folder). You have 24 hours to confirm your email address before the link expires. If that happens, contact aadams@hopeworksofhc.org to receive a new link.
5. Once your email is confirmed, you're ready to start promoting your fundraiser!
